Obituary


J
ohnny L. Campbell Sr., was born May 12, 1944 in Valhermosa Springs, Alabama to Mr. Fred O’Felix Campbell and Mrs. Beulah L. Curry Campbell, both of whom preceded him in death. He transitioned from this life on June 2, 2012.


Johnny
was preceded in death by three brothers, Mr. Bobby Campbell, Mr. Charles Campbell, and Mr. Silas G. Campbell; and one grandson, Antwon Rashad Allen.


Johnny
professed hope in Christ at an early age.

He was united in holy matrimony to Shirley Ann Childress Campbell, who preceded him in death. To this union two children were born. He later joined in holy matrimony to Mary Linda Jones Campbell and to this union two children were born. He was a proud father and grandfather who helped prepare his children and grandchildren for life. He was a wonderful craftsmen and enjoyed visiting with others.


His memories will be forever cherished by three daughters, Kim Campbell devoted caregiver of La Vergne, TN, Natarsha (Charles) Lacy, DeAnedra Campbell (Michael) of Huntville, AL; two sons, Johnny (Michelle) Campbell Jr. of Cheyenne, WY, and Antonio Sanchez Franklin of Dayton, OH; four sisters, Mollie and Barbara Campbell of Huntsville, AL, Rose (Eddonis) Birgan of Decatur, AL, Carol Campbell of Somerville, AL; eight brothers, Mr. Joish (Leana) Campbell, Kenneth (Trina) Campbell of Huntsville, AL, Johnny (Frances) Campbell of Asheville, AL, Felix Jr. (Sierra), Willie Campbell and Jeff Campbell of Somerville, AL, Billy (Fran) and Tommy (Donna) Campbell of Valhermosa Springs, AL; a host of grandchildren; great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ella B. Campbell and Mrs. Joyce Stewart-Campbell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,  friends; and a great friend, GaMarr Jordan
