TONYA SCALES-HAYNES is a graduate of John A. Gupton Mortuary College in Nashville, Tennessee with a degree in Mortuary Science.

Tonya is a licensed funeral director, licensed embalmer and a licensed insurance agent.

Funeral service has run through her blood line for over 96 years.  She is the daughter of Robert "Bob" Scales and the grand-daughter of the late Robert "T-90" Scales and Mary Scales of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Tonya is a premier embalmer and is well respected locally and nationally serving in leadership positions in both the local and national funeral director associations and conventions. She currently serves as the President of the Tennessee State Funeral Directors & Morticians Association.

Tonya is the Co-Owner of Patton Brothers Funeral Home in Nashville and Scales & Sons Funeral Home in Murfreesboro.  She is also one of the owners of Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home in Gainesville, Georgia.

Tonya has been recognized by several organizations for her extraordinary and outstanding leadership and professionalism.  The Leadership conference For Progressive Adults granted her a Certificate Of Achievement Award for her career advancements and community involvement.

Tonya has also been nominated for the Business Journal Women of Influence Award that celebrates and highlights exemplary women who are making a difference in their communities.

Tonya is a very compassionate Funeral Director and Embalmer with the heart of a servant.  She carefully and attentively guides each family through the funeral and cremation arrangement process.  She takes her time with each family and meticulously answers each question with the interest of the family in mind.

Tonya is very active in community, civic, and charitable organizations.  She seeks to conduct business in a Godly and professional manner.  Tonya is married to Deric Haynes and is the proud mother of Jacquita, Akia, and Mya.  Her life's mission is to be a "vessel of healing" to those who are hurting and a "source of strength" to those who are struggling.

PASTOR DERRICK JACKSON is a graduate of John A. Gupton College Of Mortuary Science Funeral Director's Program. He is a licensed funeral director and a licensed pre-need insurance agent.

Pastor Jackson has also earned a Master's Degree in Theology from Vanderbilt University Divinity School, a Master's Degree in Busines Administration from Kellar Graduate School Of Management, and a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, Texas.  Additionally, he received the Valedictorian Diploma from Leflore County High School in his home town of Itta Bena, Mississippi.

Pastor Jackson is a man of immense energy.  He is the Pastor of First Baptist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee and the Chief Financial Officer of the Sunday School Publishing Board.  Pastor Jackson is also the Co-Owner of Patton Brothers Funeral Home in Nashville, Scales & Sons Funeral Home in Murfreesboro, Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home in Gainesville, Georgia, and Jackson Brothers Food Concessions, Inc. in Jackson, Mississippi.

He is very active in civic, charitable, and community organizations, and he is a member of The 100 of Middle Tennessee and the Davidson County Suicide Prevention Board.  Pastor Jackson has also served as a Chaplain at Sumner Regional Hospital and the Gallatin Police Department.  

Additionally, Pastor Jackson has served on the boards of Sumner County Sheriff Office Homeward Bound Program, Volunteer State Community College Foundation Board, Salvus Medical Center, The Shaloam Zone, The Mayor Of Gallatin Visioning Committee, The Gallatin Industrial Board,  Sumner County Anti-Drug Coalition and the Good Neighbor Mission.  

Pastor Jackson is a member of the Rotary Club and has been selected as one of the most influential individuals of Sumner County. He is married to Laurie Michelle Lanakila Smith Jackson, and he is the father of Jeffery and Joshua.  

Pastor Jackson's  life motto is based on the words of a spiritual that says, "If I can help someone as I pass along... if I can cheer someone with a word or song...if I can show someone that he is traveling wrong...then my living will not be in vain."
